Abstract Proton-exchange membrane (PEM) cells fuel are being used as highly efficient and zero-emission power units to produce electricity from a renewable source. The purpose of the current study is present design simple PEM type cell model that can be in an educational environment. has illustrated possibility through product specification (PDS) process. Three different designs were studied ranked based on parameters such cost, environmental safety, size weight, application etc. Then highest score was selected. selected then improved by utilizing 3D computer modelling come up with final design. developed manufactured house assembled form full functional prototype. tested, outcome compared against existing models. Test results show prototype reasonable amount electricity. However, efficiency higher heating value lower hydrogen about 15% less model. Furthermore, there some concerns controlling combustible flammable gas which need consumed immediately inside system instead storing gas. project under development safe enough for any
